My Favorite Trees of Orcas: New Art Exhibition at OSC
Visit the Orcas Senior Center this January and February to enjoy the vibrant artwork of Sally Walker, on display Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
A former scientific illustrator, Walker returned to her passion for art after retiring from a 30-year career in the fishing industry. After moving from Seattle to Orcas in 2024, she was inspired by the island’s spectacular natural landscape.
Her new collection, “My Favorite Trees of Orcas,” celebrates the island’s striking trees—now “old friends,” she says—as she continues to capture the beauty of her new home.
