Afternoon Adventures: Explore Orcas Island Preserves
Lace up your walking shoes and reconnect with nature! Join Tanja Williamson from the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank for a series of guided nature walks through beautiful Land Bank preserves on Orcas Island. Designed for adults 60+, these walks are perfect for beginner to intermediate walkers.
For September we will be exploring the North Shore Preserve. We’ll gather at the trailhead parking area at 1 p.m. Please dress for the weather and bring water and snacks. The preserve encompasses 58 acres of lush upland forest and 1,850 feet of shoreline—an area critical for salmon recovery and a rare opportunity for public shoreline access on the island.
