April 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Meeting of the Minds: Wetlands: A Mystical Meeting Place of Water and Landpresented by Darcey Miller Wednesday, April 20 at 1pm on Zoom.

Wetlands are the meeting place of water and land, attracting a larger diversity of plants and wildlife than many other habitats. Wetlands clean our water and protect our infrastructure. Darcey Miller, a professional wetland scientist, will discuss the interesting inhabitants, both flora and fauna, of our beautiful Pacific Northwest wetlands.

Darcey’s career as a wetland scientist began 23 years ago after graduating with a degree in Environmental Science and interning for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wetland regulator. She has worked on projects ranging from parks, transportation, and farms/agricultural lands to single-family residences, utilities, and school districts.

To attend, please join through the link below on Wednesday, April 20, at 1:00pm.

As always, your generous donation to Orcas Senior Center is appreciated!
