DESCRIPTION:Senior Lunch: Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:30\nIn-person lunches are served from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Lundeen Room at Orcas Senior Center. \nDiners enjoy delicious meals\, engaging conversation\, live piano music by Ron Myers and art exhibits by the Orcas Senior Center Visual Arts Committee. \nNo Reservation is Needed! \nThere is a suggested donation of $6.00 per meal for guests aged 60 and older (Spouses/partners\, disabled dependents\, and unpaid caregivers of guests aged 60 and older also have a suggested donation of $5.00 per meal).\nCost for guests under the age of 60 is $8.50 per meal. \nTo view the current lunch menu\, go to “What’s Happening” at the top of the page and use the drop down menu to select Lunch Menu.

DESCRIPTION:The Orcas Lions Club is proud to introduce Partners In Care\, a family caregiver assistance program launching this month at Orcas Senior Center. \nPartners In Care will provide family caregivers with a much-needed break\, knowing their loved ones are in good hands. Each Monday afternoon from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.\, trained volunteers and a professional caregiver will offer compassionate supervision along with engaging and creative activities. An optional lunch will be included to enhance the experience. \nThis free service is available by reservation only. The first half hour is a lesson or two followed by an opportunity for everyone to play. Adults of all ages with all levels of ukulele expertise welcome to join in or sit and listen…if you can stand it!     \nDon’t know how to play the ukulele but want to learn? Participate in a weekly beginners’ ukulele class with Kathy Collister. Kathy can recommend resources to help get you started\, and focus will be on learning introductory chords and strumming. No fee for the class\, but you will need to provide your own ukulele. Tuesdays\, 11:00am-12:00pm @ Orcas Senior Center.  \nFor all ukulele related inquiries\, including questions about borrowing a ukulele\, please email Kathy at kcollister15@gmail.com. Total beginners and adults of all ages are welcome!    \n
